MUKONO YOUTH CAMP!

MUKONO YOUTH CAMP!

I arrive in Mukono, Mbalala and my eyes land on a crowd that tripled what I expected! I see a significant number of the young people wearing NRM T-shirts and caps with the party Chairman’s pic, the one and only Jjaja Tsevo! I see some young ladies with their babies and I quickly get concerned. On second thought I realize those are not ordinary mothers, they are youth leaders! I see them cheer on, debate and contribute to the different sessions while breast feeding their little ones! They are here to fight for space not only as young leaders but also leaders of tomorrow! I said to myself “this is liberation, this is NRM at work, this is emancipation, this is why I support President Museveni!”
I see young enthusiastic people who love and support NRM right from the heart! I wondered “all this media that all the time presents the youth as anti-NRM, where are they to see this?! To witness young people moreover leaders crazy about NRM and President Museveni!” The camp was very successful with mindset change sessions, health sessions, political awareness sessions, financial responsibility sessions, quizzes, entertainment, interaction, positive energy and more so HOPE! Everyday I continue to discover how useful this Government and its great programs would make magic with the Youth if only they got the right leadership and effective representation! I see such camps as a wake up call! Young people organized by fellow young people, spending days in camps, sleeping rather uncomfortably, eating not the best food, without any expectation of any money handouts but just a hunger for life skills and solutions?! If that does not send a strong message to anyone who calls themselves a leader, please drop the tag!
Life is about finding your way to where you want to be! The Government has set some space for the youth to find their way accordingly! What they lack is a strong bridge! A fellow young person who is serious, smart, fearless, committed and ready to work well with the NRM Government! I pledge to be that long awaited bridge👌👌
THE ORGANIZING COMMITTEE VERY WELL DONE ✅✅✅✅✅ YOU RANG THE BELL, IT WAS SO LOUD AND CLEAR!
Commander Team Tetema – Justine Nameere contributed 1m ug shs to assist the organizing committee; contributed 300,000ug shs in mind games and quizzes; hired the Internationally known Multi-Award winning life skills coach and mindset expert Dr Moses Mwesigwa to offer his services at the camp’s mindset session; and lastly lobbied the Guest of Honor!
